The BMW and Audi rivalry has been going on for quite a while, so we can expect advertising to continue and bash each other especially during these economic hardship times.

Two of the major executive sports car companies, BMW and Audi, are at it again with a new ad competition. Instead of simply saying how one is better than the other, BMW kind of did a symbolic final move right in Santa Monica by simply declaring their victory.

Audi car manufacturer egged it on by showing a huge ad stating “Your Move BMW” on their banner. BMW replied with a banner that is more in your face with one simple reply: “Checkmate”. Pretty symbolic and with a whole lot of confidence.
